Marcus Lopés is a writer living an extraordinary life. His willingness to question everything he thought he knew about life set him on a creative journey as a novelist, essayist, poet, blogger and painter. Since the publication of his first essay, “On Being Black,” in Other Voices Magazine in 2003, his writings have appeared in national and international literary magazines, both in print and online. Marcus spent his youth in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, but currently lives in Toronto, Ontario.
